Hi all. How many of you work on Customer Service in your shops? I have been trying to perfect that in my shop since day one since I started on Etsy!!

I try and get back to people as fast as I can since I was a stay at home mom but now I work/ed full time for a temp agency and I am back to being a mom and wife again. I could use some more sales of course like anyone but I want my customers to be happy with the service I provide in answering questions and getting back to them as quickly as I can.

I think you all know what I am talking about. Its like Jeff and I walked into Dicks Sporting Goods today and looked at a weight machine he really liked and there was no one to ask Questions. We stood there for like 10 minutes looking stupid and no one came to ask if we needed help and we finally walked out saying they werent getting out business again.

I see it if you want good business you have to have good customer service. You want a returning customer you have to see what she/he needs. Its the pits when places treat you like crap and then expect you to come back as returning customers?? I dont think so..

So I have been really good about checking my e-mail lots of times during the day when I am home. but when its time for me to sleep I check my e-mail lots of time when I am awake.

My other blog tells about what is going on in my life and this one keeps my crafts above float..

here is my latest afghan but it sold about a week after I posted it to a friend of mine.. they have bought four afghans from me now..

It went for 220.00.. the 20.00 for was for shipping it.. I wish I had the patients to teach other children how to crochet. I have this lady interested in some knitting needles I have and she is going to teach some local children in her area how to knit.. I think that is a great idea.

My Prices...

Hi there.. I have a post about my Etsy shop today.. I have to wonder if many of you are right about that.. But you know what It makes me wonder whats up.. I try and try to sell stuff and be a good business woman. I try to compete with others and try to keep my prices reasonable..

I have been told many times by many of you that my prices are too low.. Well here is my break down of how I do things.. I know many of you dont think about this in the terms I do and maybe you will see how I do this when I tell you how I do this..

I price my items how much money I spend on the yarn, thread, cotton what ever I am using yes.. If I dont use a whole skien of yarn I budge accordingly.. If I use half a skein of yarn of each color I use then I use one half of the price I spent on the yarn. and then I give myself what ever I spent on time to make that item.

Then shipping I dont include my shipping in any of my retail prices.. I use shipping as shipping. I put down like 5.00 dollars. that incldes boxes, packaging, bubble wrap, bubble wrap envelopes.. and shipping itself. Shipping is shipping and it comes with a cost of things. I dont see shipping as part of my tool to make my items. I think of as shipping to pay the mail man to give my items to another person that wants my items..

And my photo's have been complained about.. I have tried fixing them with a new camera. I got a new camera for my b-day back in January.. I dont have 300.00 for a great camera. I have my Kodak Easy Share camera and that is what I have.. I use what I have. I want the business and I want the feed back.. I am sorry some of you arent happy with my shop and my photo's and my prices.. I try and its hard to make ends meet on Etsy. I could never make it my business to crochet all my life for a shop like this.

its been a hobby since I started crocheting when i was 19 years old and has been a hobby since. I just want more people to keep what I make for many years to come and enjoy what products I have.. Its not easy trying to compete with some one that has the same product and they get the sale and you wonder what the hell you did wrong.. Well I know what I am doing wrong and I want you people to read this..

here is more stuff I have made over the last few weeks.. I hope you enjoy them as much as i do and the last but not least biggest scarf I have made.. I am so proud of it but not sure if it will sell.. Love how it turned out though..

Here are a few items I have listed that didnt sell on Ebay up for grabs if you are interested... Let me know ok..Aqua colored scarf with white fringes. Either boy or girl.. I love the color of it really.

12.00 dollars and that includes shipping..

These two are his and hers. I made these for a girl I worked with last winter and she quit McD's before I could get them to her. I was asking 10.00 a piece for them individually. But if you want you can or I am just looking at a flat 15.00 and that includes shipping..

This one I would say more of a man's colors but woman can wear it too. Its brown with yellow and grey. The headband is sort of wide though.. I was just learning how wide to put them.. Looking at 10.00 for it and that includes shipping..

Here is a handmade bag great for the library or the beach but most of us live where its too cold for the beach but its washable and it does stretch. But its X-mas colors so I thought why not..

Other wise most of these have been posted on here for along while now. I do ship all over so if you dont live here please feel free to contact me on things you like. My wash rags are still here and the baby bibs, and blankets. Those are a little heavier to mail so you might like to e-mail me on shipping on those. Asking 30 dollars for this one and the smaller one I will be putting up in a minute I am only asking 15 for. I did a nice pattern with these here. I got some really thin yarn from my MIL and put them together. I found the squares for the smaller on I had put together and Never put the blanket together until recently. I have another scarf on the way also. Just a tease but to tell what it will be. It a shades of black ribbon scarf like the one I have posted but with gold and silver beads in it.

New Scarves

I did one of both girls wearing the scarves. The one Kora is wearing has that ribbon yarn I made a scarf a while back with and the one Bri's wearing is just white yarn with stars and circles.

These items need to be hand washed because of the beads.Looking at 45 dollars a piece. Or best offer.. I put 11 dollars in beads in each one and at least 3 dollars in yarn for each scarf.

Hi all I dont have time to take a photo now but I do have some more fridge Magnets the Girls made. I will post them shortly but I have to get whats on my camera off first and we need to make enlargements for grandparents soon. I might go do that tomorrow for his mother. For easter plus the ones that the fridge magnets the girls made her with there first initials on. they are so cool. But we have dogs of all sorts of colors. We have lizards, monkey, hearts, seals. Wash clothes..

The girls projects

Hi there. Here are what the girls are working on for my blog.. LOL.. They are magnets. I say 2.00 a piece.. They are pretty cool. They are made of beads and then melted together with an iron. A neighbor got the girls hooked and I bought them some more beads for X-mas and I have been helping them..

Bag number two. I made this one right after I made the first one. Its a bit smaller but it does the same thing. Groceries, beach, diaper bag if need one.

Crib size blanket. Just big enough for the crib mattress. Asking 45 dollars for it because I used spare yarn sitting around the house. I didnt buy and special yarn for this one.

I dont have the dimensions for this one but it fits Bri's bed. Its a twin size. Asking 75 dollars for it.

Bag One.. I made this about two months ago after looking at how my MIL made hers. I am asking 15 dollars for it. Its green and red. Its greatly used for shopping or going to the beach. It doesnt have inside pockets but I could probably put some in for extra of course. They are pretty neat bags..

Queen size ripple. It makes me think of waves. The blue water and white froth as the waves break and then dark navy blue around the edges.. I am asking 125.00 dollars for it. Its beautiful.

This one is not for sale but just posting the pattern. I think its beautiful. I woul have to charge up to 180 dollars to repeat this pattern. You can use any colors you want. You would need 9 balls for the main color and five each of the other two colors at least. This pattern is called something Chocolate Squares.

Another angle of the same blanket. Its 54X58 inches.

This one I have yet and is queen size and I am asking 175 for it. Its a single stitch with a ripple design.

This one also is not for sale. But its my past work. And I can repeat it if neccessary. Its a baby blanket and to repeat these two I would need at least 75 dollars a piece.

Pretty Dresses for the Baby Dolls

Here is some stuff I did about three weeks ago for the girls baby dolls. The dolls dont come with the outfit. but I can make more so if interested let me know. I will go five dollars for each dress. They are suppose to be made for 10 inch dolls but I had to get the one for Bri's baby doll a little bigger. Working on one for Bri to see if I can do it for children. Not sure yet. But still working on it.

Hi there reposting the items. I have people saying they are having problems seeing the photos on here. I dont know whats wrong. Lets see if this helps any.

40 dollars for this one... Its a double Crochet with granny squares sewed together.

Bibs 5 dollars a piece.. single crochet to make these.

40 dollars for the blanket.. double crochet stitch and more granny squares sewed together.

175 dollars. A queen Size afghan.. single stitch in a ripple design.

25 dollars for set.. single and double crochet for this one. I did two rows of single and three rows of Double.

Hope you all can see these now. I am sorry for the inconvience.. I just transferred them from the original blog to this one and not thinking. I can see them when I click on my link but I dont know why you guys and gals cant. Well let me know if this is better.

Hi there. I was told by one of my readers in my last post to post some of my work. I dont know exactly what she was thinking but here we go. I measured some of them. If any of you are interested in buying for X-mas that would be great.. LOL.. I can make more but of course I need more yarn. And that is one thing that isnt cheap anymore here at least. Well here we go.

this one is 28x26 1/2. And if were to be sold I would have to have at least ten dollars for it plus shipping and handling.

49 x 31. if to be sold would have to charge at least 20 dollars plus shipping and handling. SOLD!!!!!!!!

26 x 26 and if to be sold would have to charge 10 dollars plus shipping and handling.

and if to be sold something like 2 or 3 dollars a piece plus shipping and handling.

I would have to say 3 dollars each for these. If they had the hats to match I would go for like 7 dollars for the pair but could never figure out how to do the hats. The hats I made for the girls I dont think boys would wear them if I did them in blue or dark greens... LOL.. Anyway guys and gals. This is what I have done for now. Let me know via e-mail if you would like what I have here and I can get them to you but the only thing I ask first is that I get your MO or check first please. I am not real trust worthy when it comes to stuff like this. Like I said I dont want to make this into a blog all about making money or I will lose my friends. Here is a scarf and matching headband I whipped up over the weekend. I took two photo's just to show it from two different angles. The headband fits Kora's head but it could be stretched to fit an adult I believe. the scarf is 8 x 44 inches long. Scarf is lime yellow,brown and grey. I didnt get the yellow in the photo. I would like at least 20 for it. I think I did a great job. Thanks guys and guys.
